Whenever I’m in the Golden Mile area, I can’t resist popping in Golden Mile Complex aka Little Thailand. I’ll usually head to the Thai supermarket on the second floor to buy Thai curry pastes, noodles and snacks. Before heading home, I’ll stop by Diandin Leluk’s takeaway counter.
There’s an irresistible array of colorful Thai desserts and snacks here, from Thai-style chendol and red rubies…
…to sweetened tapioca and Thai-style kueh kueh.
This box of kueh kueh is very reasonably priced at just S$3.00 for 6 pieces. Most of them are flavored with coconut. The pink one is like layered lapis sagu. The green one is made of tapioca.
Our favorite is the white ones, a refreshing coconut jelly with sweetcorn kernels.
We also like their sticky rice with mango and coconut cream. It’s fresh and comes with a generous portion of sweet and juicy mango. When durians are in season, they also sell sticky rice with durian. *loves*
