There are at least 3 Chinese-style (non-halal) nasi lemak stalls in Tanjong Pagar Food Centre, each with their own following. But for Rick and I, we are regulars of this stall.
We’ve tried the other two, and this one is our favorite because we think their rice is the most fragrant and fluffy out of the three. Also, their fried chicken wings — the most popular item here — fly out of the fryer at an astonishing rate. Coated in a thin, crispy batter, the meat is flavorful and super juicy!
Other items they have are the usual accompaniments like: fried egg, otak otak, fish cake, sotong cutlet, luncheon meat, stir-fried cabbage. On average, 5 sides with rice and sambal costs a pocket-friendly $2.50. Come here for an early lunch, or you’ll risk having them being sold out for the day.
