I made Korean pancake this morning as I had to use up some fresh prawn. The traditional version has other seafood items like oyster and squid, but for a simplified version, this was good enough.
Korean pancake is really easy to make at home. Just buy the premix, and add water! I always have a pack on standby in the fridge. If you go to a Korean restaurant, they charge around S$15 for seafood pancake. That’s why I never order it. I can make it at home!
It’s also great when there are ingredients you need to use up. Any kind of seafood is suitable, and veggies like onion, zucchini, bell pepper, Chinese chives, and carrot are good too. Add finely chopped Chinese cabbage kimchi, and you’ve got kimchi pancake!

Wow wow! Do you have a spare room and are willing to take me in as your house mate? Hehe…
House maid? Yes, I’m certainly happy to take you in! hehehe….
Hehe, if you have the spinnner mop and guo tie for breakfast, can consider :-p
Hahaha Momo. Hey Julia, must use the premix flour? This pancake thing is one thing I’ve been wanting to make!
I tried mixing my own flours before, but somehow not as nice as the premix. Maybe need to hunt around for better recipes!
May I know where to get the premix flour? Would love to try it
Hi Josephine,
All Korean grocery stores would stock pancake premix. I’ve also seen it in Isetan supermarket, Meidi-Ya, and certain FairPrice outlets.
