Oh dear, is it really so bad? My order was made by an auntie, but I thought her wrapping skills are just so-so.

Popiah is a Fujian-style snack that's also popular in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Xiamen, China!

Did you eat the popiahs made by the elderly uncle? His standard is very much different from the elderly auntie. If you've tried her version, his popiahs are quite inedible (ie. few ingredients + poorly wrapped)! I've been there thrice and very much prefer her to make the popiahs! However as they take turns to make, I had to wait till her turn before I could order. Otherwise it's really a waste of money to eat popiahs wrapped by the uncle.

we thought that old long house popiah was over-rated too. The fillings fall out easily and doesn't really impress us. Not sure whether you've tried Qi Ji popiah?
It's one of the best popiah we've tried! Skin is thin and able to hold the fillings well. Besides, they also add on the crispy bits which we love! :)
