I like the fried Hokkien mee at the Tanjong Pagar Plaza Food Centre at level 2( the one that is facing the ground- floor toilet.)
The owner is not stingy with ingredients like sotong, prawns & green vegetable. The mee is fried in the right amount of moisture.
Of course, it tastes great with the red chilli. Die Die must try!!!
The overall colour of the dish looks very fresh and light(with green xiao bai chai); unlike some other stalls' Hokkien mee which look slightly brownish in colour and are not very appealing to me.

Hi Julia, I've tried d Hokkien mee & totally agreed with yr ratings! You must try the Hokkien mee @ Food Republic (4th Floor Wisma). Its yummilicious with the "or peh" leaves! Since you were @ Golden Mile, its a pity you didn't try the soup Tulang (mutton soup)!!! Also @ d basement,on the right (where the Muslim food is)!!!
Julia: Laura, I've been tempted to try the soup tulang, but it looks kinda daunting! :)

Hi imakan,
I'm kinda a traditionalist when it comes to ah balling. Tried green tea before and didn't really like the taste. :)
Hi elle,
Been to the one at Chinatown a couple of times, but they were always sold out. Heard that it's really good. Must try to get there earlier next time. :)

Wow, 1 hour waiting time? I might have fainted from hunger by then. :)

Hey, I recommend famous Hokkien Mee at Chomp Chomp. U know where is Chomp Chomp? It is at Serangoon Garden. The stall is at the end. On weekends, there is a long queue and the waiting time is 1 hour.
